CONGRATULATIONS to our students from Year 9 to Year 14, who achieved such good results this year. We are celebrating our best ever GCSE examination results for Year 11. Nearly three quarters (73%) gained 5 or more grades at A* to C and over half (52%) gained 5 or more grades at A* to C including English and Maths. All students achieved an entry level qualification. We are particularly pleased that the high quality of teaching and learning in the school is recognised by the awarding of the new A* grades to A level students; by those who achieved 100% in their mathematics exams at GCSE and A level and by the 85-100% achievement rates in the new diploma subjects taught at Barclay. There are also several students who have achieved fantastic results whilst overcoming great personal difficulties. They have shown tremendous strength of character and have benefitted from the support offered by the school and their families. We are very proud of our students and are looking forward to another successful year in 2010-11.
