Ofsted has identified the following strengths for the school in their April 2018 report.        "Determined senior leadership is making a positive difference to the quality of education that the school provides."       "The standard of pupils' behaviour has improved. The School is a calm and orderly place to be."        "Sixth-Form students make good progress on post-16 courses. Their attendance has improved markedly this year."        "Staff at all levels give high priority to pupils' safety and welfare. There is a strong culture of safeguarding across the school."

Principal’s Welcome

I am delighted to welcome you to Barclay Academy’s website.  I am very pleased to be leading Barclay Academy and ensuring that we achieve success for all our students.  We are extremely ambitious for everyone at Barclay Academy and we want our students to receive a strong knowledge-rich education that will give them the confidence to succeed in their future endeavours.

Barclay Academy is part of Future Academies and the Trust’s ethos – Knowledge, Aspiration and Respect – informs everything that we do.  We are very fortunate to have access to an excellent Raising Aspirations programme that gives our students additional valuable experiences that enhance their education both inside and outside the classroom.

Barclay Academy offers a safe, caring and supportive environment for all its students.  We strongly encourage you to visit us, meet the staff and students, and learn more about our ambitions for the future.
