PARENTLINE PLUS PROJECT

We all know that being a parent or carer is the hardest job in the world and it doesn’t come with any instructions. Everyday there are challenges and demands and sometimes it is difficult to know who to turn to.

Parentline PlusBarclay School has started a partnership project with a national charity called Parent line Plus. This organisation exists with and for parents and carers. Parentline plus is a national charity set up in response to the personal needs of parents and carers. The support Parentline Plus offers is free and flexible.

Some of the areas covered are: dealing with children with difficult behaviour, dealing with anger, bringing up children on your own, coping with teenagers, helping children learn, talking about sex, talking about drugs, tackling bullying and many more.

If you feel you need help or support and could benefit from the variety of services available from Parentline Plus you can contact Sara Hassell on 01707 630100 or via the dedicated free helpline 0808 800 2222. In addition the website is www.parentlineplus.org.uk

This service is confidential and independent of Barclay School. The school will not receive any feedback from any parents or carers that contact Parentline Plus for advice or assistance, but we fully support the work they do and would encourage any parents or carers to contact them.
