The Barclay School

Charlie Cook and Kelly McGuiness are the first Sporting Ambassadors to represent Barclay.

Both Charlie and Kelly are in year 13 and have represented Barclay in a range of sporting activities for the past seven years (or 8 in Charlie’s case!). They both studying for the BTec National Diploma in Sport and are two of our higher sports leaders.

Charlie & Kelly are heavily involved in sport, both at school and  in our community. You will see them helping out with lessons and clubs within school. As part of their higher sports leader award Kelly volunteers one afternoon at Lonsdale School and Charlie at Lawood, helping out children with particular learning needs.

Kelly also works for Stevenage Leisure Limited at the Shephall Leisure Centre. She enjoys trampolining, dance, fitness and football. Charlie works part time as a life guard at the swimming pool, plays football for Stevenage leisure Ltd and Barclay 1st X1. Both Charlie and Kelly will represent the school at various functions in Stevenage and will introduce themselves to the students during Mr Green’s assembly in the spring term.
