THE BARCLAY SCHOOL ASSOCIATION The Purpose The Association’s role is very different to that of the school governors. We work with the Deputy Head to support the school in different ways and primarily raise funds to enhance the facilities available for all children attending the school. The BSA also helps the school’s association with a local charity, the North Herts Multiple Sclerosis Centre, by running a bar at their events, hosted at the school. Supporting the School In the last few months BSA members have helped Barclay by: • Hosting a Quiz selling over 200 tickets. Money raised has bought: * Lighting for the Drama Department. We are always looking for more parents, carers, friends & grandparents to help in whatever way they can. You do not have to have a child in the school in order to be part of the BSA. Do I have to join a committee? We are a charity so we have a committee with the traditional roles of Chairperson, Treasurer, Secretary. However, you do not need to become part of the committee to help. We do have regular meetings, but you do not have to attend all of them; just keep in touch by phone or email. Some ways you can help
If you are interested in helping, please contact us via the School or on this email address: This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it Barclay School Association Committee Members The President is the Head Teacher Janet Beacom Eileen Bibby – Deputy Head The other members are all parents & community volunteers: Debra Walker, Sue Domm, Deirdre Ward, Elaine, Jocelyn Firminger, Jackie Newcomb, Tracey Meadows We are a really friendly informal group who welcome anyone who is willing to give their time to help the school.
